1953 Queen Elizabeth Coronation sensational spoon

This is a spoon commemorating the Coronation of Queen Elizabeth in 1953. Beautifully done with extremely nice embossed decorations on  handle end with the Queen's profile inside framed by the Royal Crest.

Inside the crest is the motto " Honi soit qui mal y pense" which is a French phrase meaning: "Shamed be he who thinks evil of it". It is part of the Royal Arms and the motto of the English chivalric Order of the Garter.

On top is a small box with "E II R" inside. Underneath is a "H.M. Queen Elizabeth II 1953" and running down the handle is "Coronation"

The back is stunning with embossed maple leaves running up and down. At the base of the bowl are some marks which appear to be  "EP" and 'R' inside a triangle and "NS" A beautiful spoon.

It measures almost 5 1/2" long.
