*King George VI ceramic bust"
Here is something a little different for Royalty collectors, a small bust of King George VI made from a ceramic material. It is not exactly a masterpiece but it does have a good likeness of the last reigning king.This is not your usual collectable but is kind of decorative. It measures about 5" tall by about 3" at it's widest.It is unmarked and in fairly good condition but there are 2 spots in his hair where some brown paint or glaze is missing leaving white spots. These are not really chips. I can't determine if this is a bare ceramic mold which someone has painted or if it was glazed but it looks early 1900s. I like the regal look of it even though the detailing is a little crude.
