*Early 1900 H.M. King Edward VIII collectable tin from Riley's toffee* Very nice and collectable metal tin from the early 1900's which held Riley's toffee.It is a hinged blue tin with a cameo of King George VIII in a gold frame with a tasselled flag draped at the side. The label reads "H.M.King Edward VIII,Long may he reign". There is a gold border all around the rim of the lid and the entire tin is covered with a dark blue covered in gold Fleur de Lis images". The front has a gold crest with two lions beside a shield with ER inside. The one side has in gold" 14 oz. Nett.", each angled corner has a shield with an "X" topped by a shamrock. The bottom has a red ink circle with either an "A OSP" or "A 038" inside. On the underside of the lid is "Rileys's Toffee" under which is "Made in England by Riley Brothers (Halifax) Limited, Halifax England". It measures 6" long by 4" wide by 3 1/2" tall and is in good condition with only some small rust spots and scratches. This is extremely collectable since King Edward VIII was one of the shortest reigning monarchs in England (1910-1936). Early 1900 H.M.
